Entry: Thank you for the memories Friday, July 24, 2009

When we were younger, the best gift for our cuz-s in Singapore; (at almost all meetings) would be chewing gums. Just because Singapore bans the gums, almost all kids who grew up there craved it.
To my very surprise, she's still loving them. Her last trip here, chewing gums could actually be the best 'souvenir' for friends! I then witnessed how they tried to hide gums of different flavours in the seas of their belongings, in hope to escape the custom-check.

On the other hand, those of us who grew up here in Malaysia, CHEWING GUM is………well, chewing gum.

Metaphorically, when we were deprived of something we wanted so badly, the same craving event occurs. We are always trailing after something that did not happen, believing THAT is happiness we're pursuing. Instead, many times, happiness is just right beside, if only…………..

we know how to be grateful for.

Thank you for the memories  Smile
